It is a pleasure to invite you to join the media researchers and scholars, representatives from diverse religious traditions, professionals and students involved with the subjects of the conference who will gather in Tehran in November 2008 to explore the complex relationship among religion and media. The purpose of the conference is to share developments in and research on religion and media (with emphasis on Television and Radio). Papers are welcome in suggested issues of this multifaceted field which are listed here.

The first conference on Media and Religion was held in Tehran, November 2005, in which public and student interest was quite high, with over three hundred attending the major sessions. That conference also facilitated meetings between academic scholars and those involved in the production of mediated messages, and we hope this can be the case 2008 as well.
